Ah prom, that one time in a teenagers life when everyone dresses up all fancy in gowns, gets their hair done and takes millions of pictures of themselves all dolled up. Unless of course you live on the Upper East Side and attend Constance Billard school for girls (Gossip Girl reference). My special day came right around the corner, and before I knew it I was celebrating the ending of my high school years. What a night! In all honesty, I didn’t have very high expectations for my prom night, which I think made my night even better. I spent the night with some of my closest friends, and we had the best time.

I received my dress from BHLDN, who didn’t disappoint. The stylists were extremely helpful and even sent me fabric and colour samples prior to the final purchase of my dress. My hair was another roller coaster. I was so hesitant to go with a braided crown and flowers, but I risked it and my hairdresser pulled it of. It quickly became my favourite part of the look. The shoes were from Topshop because, of course, I had to add a little bit of edge to my classic, bohemian look.

Flower Child

In light of the lovely spring weather that has come, I’ve been spending so much more time outside. I am always so fascinated by the beauty of flowers, especially these pretty pink ones! The moment I saw them, I knew I had to style an outfit around them. Voila! What a coincidence that the floral crown matches almost exactly to the actual flowers! I’m pretty much all flowered up, from this shift dress and this crochet kimono both from Brandy Melville. What a perfect way to start the season! Let’s hope the rest of spring and even summer stay as beautiful as this.

Lovely Lace

The snow is still going strong here in Montreal! I finally had a warmer day though, and thought it would be perfect to get in a mini outfit photo shoot. I had so much fun paring this outfit together. Whilst it is all black (my go to colour, as you’ll eventually notice), the low back on this dress was perfect to wear with my black lace top.

My new favourite pieces are turtlenecks, or semi-turtle necks I should say! I wore this top as an underlay (like this) with another black dress for my concert last week, and received so many compliments about it! Don’t you just love that feeling when something so simple looks so good, and it probably won’t make a difference to others, but to you it just feels, well, awesome! Well, that’s how I feel, haha.

‘Twas the Night Before Christmas…

Merry Christmas Eve everyone! I’m off to spend the night with my family at one of my aunt’s house. Our big tradition is Christmas Eve, where we have a huge lebanese feast, and best of all, I get to see all of my family! I have cousins who live across North America, so it’s so great to have everyone together for at least one day a year!  This one’s a short post, I just wanted to showcase my Christmas outfit. I am in love with this dress from Topshop, and I was so happy to find a gold sparkled clutch from H&M that matched perfectly!

After a long day at school, it’s so nice to come home to the comfort of my own blog. I’ve been so anxious to post this outfit, but now I’m realizing I actually care more about the shoes than the clothes! But oh, these shoes. I bought them in Chicago, right as the whole re-integration of grunge was finally becoming popular. I found they reminded me of mini Doc Martens or something. And their comfortable, too!

I was channeling Gossip Girl with this outfit, almost like a mix of Blair Waldorf and little miss Jenny Humphrey. Hopefully I did them justice!

Thankfully, this week is only a four day work week, and I have the day off friday. That means I only have to endure two more days this week in the jungle that is high school.

Sunday Casual

I always get a good feeling about sundays. For some reason, it reminds me of fall, bath and body works scented candles, and apple crisp. Three of my favorite things! On another note, I can’t believe it’s already almost october! This month has gone by so fast. It’s always hard adjusting to september, but now that’s all over! I’m getting back into all my routines, and finally making more time for blogging.

I just bought this kimono last weekend, it’s something I’ve been on a hunt for for a long time. I must say, it isn’t the ideal kimono of my preference, I was looking for one that’s longer, but I really like the print of this one. So , if anyone finds an affordable, midi-length kimono, please let me know!

So happy fall everyone, let’s hope it’s a good one!

Red Check

I never really thought I could grunge-ify a hair bow, till today. I must say though, I feel like this could be a whole new path for the traditional floppy hair bow. Or maybe not…

Black and Leopard

It’s really starting to feel like fall. Or at least it is where I live. I find myself curling up like a ball in my snuggie and fuzzy socks almost every night, not to mention the fact that I recently stocked up on a closet full of sweaters!

On another note, today is the last day of New York Fashion Week, and this season has just been amazing! Some of the highlights for me were Marc by Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade, and so many more!!

Can’t wait for London fashion week (It starts tomorrow)!
